Our High Calling In Christ Jesus Because Of His Sovereign Grace

"All who welcome Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives are reborn spiritually, receiving New Life from God. Through faith in Christ, this New Birth changes us from the inside out - rearranging our attitudes, desires, and motives. Being born makes you physically alive and places you in your parents' family (Eph. 1:13). Being reborn makes you spiritually alive and puts you in God's family (Eph. 1:12). - Life Application Bible, p. 1795.

Thus, belonging to Christ through God's merciful Covenant Of Sovereign Grace gives believers the privilege of sitting with Him "in Heavenly Places" (Eph. 2:6). "As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons [daughters] of God, even to them that believe on His Name." John 1:12. "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the Good Pleasure of His Will." Eph. 1:5.

" 'Predestinated' means marked out beforehand. This is another way of saying salvation is God's Work and not our own doing. God has adopted us as His Own children. Through Jesus' sacrifice, He has brought us into His Family and made us heirs along with Jesus (Rom. 8:17). In Roman law, adopted children had the same rights and privileges as natural children. Paul uses this term to show how strong our relationship to God is. For more on the meaning of adoption, see Gal. 4:5-7."- Life Application Bible, p. 2068.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Cor. 5:17.

"Christians are brand new people on the inside. The Holy Spirit gives them New Life, and they are not the same anymore. We are not reformed, rehabilitated, or reeducated - we are new creations, living in vital union with Christ (Col. 2:6-7). We are not merely turning over a new leaf; we are beginning a new life under a new Master."- Life Application Bible, p. 2036.

The Kingdom Of God

Jesus said: "The kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21. "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" 1 Cor. 6:19.

"What did Paul mean when he said that our bodies belong to God? Many people say they have the right to do whatever they want with their own bodies. Although they think this is freedom, they are really enslaved to their own desires. When we become Christians, the Holy Spirit fills and lives in us. Therefore, we no longer own our bodies. We have been 'bought with a price' refers to slaves purchased at auction. Christ's death freed us from sin, but also obligates us to His Service. If you live in a building owned by someone else, you don't violate the building rules. Because your body belongs to God, you must not violate His Standards for living."- Life Application Bible, p. 2005. "And ye are complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power." Col. 2:10.

"When we know Jesus Christ, we don't need to seek God by means of other religions, cults, or unbiblical philosophies as the Colossians were doing. Christ alone holds the answers to the true meaning of life, because Christ is life. He is the unique source of knowledge and power for the Christian life. No Christian needs anything else than what He has provided to be saved. We are complete in Him."- Life Application Bible, p. 2101.

Elected Of God

" 'Whom He did predestinate, them He also called." Rom. 8:30. In the second epistle to Timothy, first chapter, and ninth verse, are these words 'Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling.' Now, here is a touchstone by which we may try our calling. It is 'an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His Own Purpose and Grace.' This calling forbids all trust in our own doings, and conducts us to Christ alone for salvation, but it afterwards purges us from dead works to serve the living and true God. As He that hath called you is holy, so must you be holy. If you are living in sin, you are not called, but if you are truly Christ's, you can say, 'Nothing pains me so much as sin; I desire to be rid of it; Lord, help me to be holy.' Is this the panting of thy heart? Is this the tenor of thy life towards God, and His Divine Will? Again, in Phil. 3:13, 14, we are told of 'The high calling of God in Christ Jesus.' Is then your calling a high calling? Has it ennobled your heart, and set it upon Heavenly things? Has it elevated your hopes, your tastes, your desires? Has it upraised the constant tenor of your life, so that you spend it with God and for God? Another test we find in Hebrews 3:1: 'Partakers of the heavenly calling.' Heavenly calling means a call from heaven. If man alone call thee, thou art uncalled. Is thy calling of God? Is it a call to heaven as well as from heaven? Unless thou art a stranger here, and heaven thy home, thou hast not been called with a heavenly calling; for those who have been so called, declare that they look for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God, and they themselves are strangers and pilgrims upon the earth. Is thy calling thus holy, high, heavenly? Then, beloved, thou hast been called of God, for such is the calling wherewith God doth call His people."- C. H. Spurgeon. Note: Spurgeon was a well-known preacher in England during the 1800's. He preached to an estimated 10 million people during his lifetime, and was known as the "Prince of Preachers."

In Conclusion

Being that "effective cause" within and throughout the Covenant Of Sovereign Grace Of Christ is clearly the Prodigious Glorification of the Fullness of the Godhead (Trinity); when the "cause to affects" of the Merciful Grace glorification of the letter of the law, or any part of it hinged in such a fashion, eliminates the Holy Spirit towards taking and being Authentic Christians so far in the glories above the law, that [they] no longer see the law unbecomingly, as [they] were already exercised within and throughout it as only the "weak and beggarly elements [sacrificial laws of the old covenant]" (Gal. 4:9), as God's Platform send-off, power-booster to rocket so far high above in their callings - Luminated by God's Election - [they] trans-accelerate by the Quickening Spirit of God where they no longer need the booster or the platform from which [they] first were/was initiated thereof and thereby. This is called the Luminated-Elected High Calling Of and In Christ Jesus!

We pray our readers to do closer study, and by doing so, reap a much more blessed richness of God by searching the only "Gold Mine" that runs so deep, high, broad, and wide; that they will always find ... the yet more ... to find. We remain yours, to gently guide you as in 2 Cor. 3:5-6: "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God: who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament: not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life."
