The Prophet Isaiah describes his experience of seeing God in His Glory. "I saw the Lord sitting on a very high throne. His long robe filled the Temple.... I said, 'Oh, no! I will be destroyed. I am not pure. And I live among people who are not pure. But have seen the King, the Lord of heaven's armies.' On the altar there was a fire. One of the burning heavenly creatures used a pair of tongs to take a hot coal from the fire. Then he flew to me with the hot coal in his hand. The creature touched my mouth with the hot coal. Then he said, 'Look. Your guilt is taken away because this hot coal has touched your lips. Your sin is taken away.' Then I heard the Lord's voice. He said, 'Whom can I send? Who will go for us?' So I said, 'Here I am. Send me!'" Isaiah 6:1, 5-8 (EB). Oh, what Mercy, Grace and Forgiveness God continually extends to those He has Redeemed! He forgives and forgets the sins of those who call upon Him, even to putting repentant sins in the depth of the sea. See Micah 7:19.
"Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace." Psalm 29:2, 11. "O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand." Psalm 95:6-7a. "Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy." Psalm 99:5. Review pp. 33-37.
After God had destroyed the wicked antediluvians with the worldwide flood, He assured Noah and his family protection from all wildlife: "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered." Gen. 9:1b-2. God's love abiding within our being, removes the threat of fear of our fellowmen. "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us." 1 John 4:17-18. "So we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." Hebrews 13:6.
The fear of death and personal safety threatens everyone. God has given us promises to sustain us in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in - or situation we have put ourselves onto - that He might glorify His Will within! "Those who go to God Most High for safety will be protected by God All-Powerful. I will say to the Lord, 'You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God, and I trust you.' God will save you from hidden traps and from deadly diseases. He will protect you like a bird spreading its wings over its young. His truth will be like your armor and shield. You will not fear any danger by night or an arrow during the day. You will not be afraid of diseases that come in the dark or sickness that strikes at noon.... The Lord is your protection. You have made God Most High your place of safety. Nothing bad will happen to you. No disaster will come to your home. He has put his angels in charge of you. They will watch over you wherever you go. They will catch you with their hands. And you will not hit your foot on a rock." Psalm 91:1-6; 9-12 (EB).
