Holy Communion is a time of great spiritual joy, for Christ says that His Kingdom Is Within Us here and now, and that we also "sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 6:2. See also Luke 17:21.
Beneficial Blessings Of Daily Communion
According to Scripture, the First Century Christians participated in Holy Communion daily as we read in Acts 2:46: "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church [Body-Of-Believers] daily such as should be saved" (lps). "And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." Acts 2:42.
Since adopting the practice of these early Christians in having Holy Communion in our home on a daily basis, we have experienced a greater measure of God's peace, joy, rest, health, strength, and vitality of our entire being - spirit, soul, and body. We encourage others to do the same within their own homes.
There are many documented reports of physical healings as a result of individuals taking Holy Communion for themselves and also for upholding other people in their prayers and taking Communion for them when they were too sick to participate in the ordinance themselves. What a Blessed Privilege to draw upon the very Life Of God for our entire being! It is the Will Of God that each one of us enjoys good health as 3 John 1:2 says: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." There are seven Hebrew and Greek words which are translated into 23 English words meaning some form of salvation, and one of these words is "health." So all healings of physical illness and disease are as much a part of salvation (total health) as any other part of the Gospel of Truth! Anything less can be attributed to spiritual, willful, mindful, emotional, and physical pernicious anemia!
In writing to the Corinthian Believers, the Apostle Paul explained very clearly why there is so much weakness, sickness, and early deaths among Christians. Speaking of the Holy Communion, he says: "But let a man [woman] examine himself [herself], and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak, and sickly among you, and many sleep [die permaturely]." 1 Corinthians 11:28-30 (lps).
"Unworthily" is referring to the "manner" of how the "Body of Christ" (Unleaven Bread) is taken during Holy Communion; instead of describing the "person" as unworthy; for everyone, no matter how good they may appear to be, is a sinner and unworthy in himself/herself. So the "unworthily" manner in which Christians partake of the "Bread" at Holy Communion is that they do not discern and believe the words of Christ when He said: "Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me." 1 Corinthians 11:24. Put very simply, Christ's Body Was Broken - so our body can be made, kept, and maintained well - so as to be whole! Hallelujah! We praise His Name for His lively, healthful, well being in sacrificing Himself for our beneficial celebration!
There has been a misunderstanding that both the Bread and Wine at Holy Communion represents forgiveness of sin. But there is a great difference between these two New Testament ordinances; and when one realizes this difference, Holy Communion takes on a whole new meaning and the Believer can, not only receive the forgiveness of sins through the Shed Blood of Christ (Wine), but can also receive total healing through the Broken Body Of Christ (Unleaven Bread) for their spirit, will, mind, emotions, and body. These Graceful Gifts of our Loving Jesus were also foreshadowed in the Old Testament: "Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name: ... who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things: so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." Psalm 103:1-5.
Every Curse Reversed - Not in Transubstantiation As Mystic's Believe
It was by eating from the wrong tree that brought the curse of sin, sickness, and death upon humankind. By contrast, it was the One Who was nailed upon the very tree He made - as the Creator - besides Being The Tree Off Righteousness Himself, and Who did it all to take away the sins of the world for all those who whole-heartedly believe in Him as their all in His All!
As we drink of the Wine in Remembrance of Christ's Shed Blood, we celebrate the forgiveness of our sins and Christ's Gift of Eternal Salvation. And by faith in Him we eat the symbol of Christ's Broken Body Of Christ, we are being made completely whole! Thus Jesus Christ has once and for all reversed the curse which fell upon humankind in the Garden of Eden! All Praise To His Name For Such A Salvation!! Believers then have the privilege of experiencing the opposite of 1 Corinthians 11:30 which they could apply to themselves as: "For this cause many are strong, healthy, and live a long life!" If transubstantiation was imparted or imputed, the physical body could not die, because Christ is the Author of Life and not death! Consider the reason God removed the Tree of Life from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:22-24).
In addition to believing and receiving the Shed Blood and Broken Body of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is also important to seek God's Wisdom in knowing how to be "good stewards" in the care of our body which is worth far more than any other earthly possession. We are assured in James 1:5: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." After all is said and done, our body is this world's temporary temple or tabernacle (housing or tent as the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:11). Also, consider Jesus' answer to the woman at the well when she asked where was the right place to worship He replied: "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews [being the earliest converts to Christ]. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:22-24 (lps).
The Living Bread
Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, how can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day [at his/her last breath]. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever....It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:47-58, 63 (lps). God's Word Is Bread, and The Holy Spirit Is The Life-Giving Of It - Ongoing Newness Of Growth!!!
"How can Jesus give us his flesh as bread to eat? To eat living bread means to unite ourselves to Christ. We are united with Christ in two ways: (1) by believing in his death (the sacrifice of his flesh) and resurrection and (2) by devoting ourselves to living as he requires, depending on his teaching for guidance and trusting in the Holy Spirit for power....The idea of drinking any blood, let alone human blood, was repugnant to the religious leaders because the Law forbade it (Leviticus 17:10-11). Jesus was not talking about literal blood, of course. He was saying that his life had to become their own, but they could not accept this concept. The apostle Paul later used the body and blood imagery in talking about communion (see 1 Corinthians 11:23-26). The Holy Spirit gives spiritual life ("quickeneth"); without the work of the Holy Spirit we cannot even see our need for it (John 14:17). All spiritual renewal begins and ends with God. He reveals truth to us, lives within us, then he enables us to respond to that truth."- Life Application Bible, pp. 1814-1815.
The Life-Giving Wine
Grapes have to be crushed to be able to produce wine! Thus Christ suffered and died (was crushed) so that we might partake of His Blood (Life) within our very being.
"Who would have believed what we heard? Who saw the Lord's power in this? He grew up like a small plant before the Lord. He was like a root growing in a dry land. He had no special beauty or form to make us notice him. There was nothing in his appearance to make us desire him. He was hated and rejected by people. He had much pain and suffering. People would not even look at him. He was hated, and we didn't even notice him. But he took our suffering on him and felt our pain for us. We saw his suffering. We thought God was punishing him. But he was wounded for the wrong things we did. He was crushed for the evil things we did. The punishment, which made us well, was given to him. And we are healed because of his wounds. We all have wandered away like sheep. Each of us has gone his own way, but the Lord has put on him the punishment for all the evil we have done. He was beaten down and punished. But he didn't say a word. He was like a lamb being led to be killed. He was quiet, as a sheep is quiet while its wool is being cut. He never opened his mouth. Men took him away roughly and unfairly. He died without children to continue family. He was put to death. He was punished for the sins of my people. He was buried with wicked men. He died with the rich. He had done nothing wrong. He had never lied." Isaiah 53:4-9 (EB).
"Still, it's what God had in mind all along, to crush him [Christ] with pain. The plan was that he give himself as an offering for sin so that he'd see life come from it - life, life, and more life. And God's plan will deeply prosper through him. Out of that terrible travail of soul, he'll see that it's worth it and be glad he did it. Through what he experienced, my righteous one [Christ], my servant, will make many 'righteous ones,' as he himself carries the burden of their sins." Isaiah 53:10-11 (THE MESSAGE).
Thoughts To Ponder
Humans have four main types of blood (broken down it amounts to eight), which must be carefully determined for transfusions, or else the patient will die as different types work against each other! Jesus' Divine Spirit and Soul were put into the human body of the Virgin Mary, but not one drop of her blood entered Him, as all babies are surrounded by the placenta and the baby makes its own blood from the nutrients absorbed from the placenta. Thus the baby and the mother may have opposite types of blood, but it doesn't matter because they never come in contact with each other.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a common virgin girl, who had to believe on Him as her Saviour just like every other sinner who accepts His Gift Of Salvation! Since the Blood of Christ was totally a Divine Conceptus; then when individuals accept Him as their Saviour, that Potent, Divine Blood covers them completely with His Righteousness.
In the Old Testament, we frequently read that there was a "condition" to the Old Covenant of the Law in that if the people "kept the law," or "did righteously" they were blest; but if they failed, they were condemned (cursed). Jesus Christ did away with the Old Covenant laws, and made a NEW COVENANT of Grace, whereby all those who BELIEVE on Him as their Saviour, are covered with His Blood and are Eternally Saved.
The conclusive evidence of Jesus is biblically nascent; because Father God was His Seed through the Holy Spirit, and fleshing (incarnated) Him, thus making Him Divinely Originated. Mary's blood did not enter Christ at all, making Him humanly developed for which He came to die for the "sins of many;" but the Seed of God The Father raised Jesus up and defeated Satan victoriously and triumphantly for all Believers On Christ; and then after His Mission to earth was completed, He now resides restoratively to His Original Glory (without spot or wrinkle), at the Father's Right Side Forever from which He came!! Amen! Hallelujah!
